Octopize is a data privacy solution provider. Octopize’s avatar software, allows generation of anonymous synthetic data from any tabular data set. While the Avatar data is different from the original data to guarantee data privacy, it also maintains the same granularity and the same relationships between variables. These characteristics make Avatar data usable for all sort of use including analyses or machine learning without the risk of re-identification for individuals.
Role in the project :
In the MODALSHIFT project, Octopize provides expertise in terms of data anonymization. By making its Avatar solution available across project partners, many datasets can be anonymized or desensitized and considered for inclusion in the project while GDPR or strategic reasons would prevent their use in their original form. The use of Avatar will increase the quantity of data made available to the tools developed by other partners, resulting in higher quality services.
