Role in the project :
In the MODALSHIFT project, New Generation Sensors (NGS) provides key technologies for real-time data acquisition, secure data exchange, and the optimisation of multimodal transport operations.
Specifically, NGS develops IoT-based on-board units, e-subscription devices, and smart locker systems, enabling the collection of environmental and traffic data with integrated V2X communication. It also designs blockchain-based protocols to ensure trusted communication between transport assets and contributes to the setup of a secure, interoperable data space.
In addition, the company supports the development of business models and dynamic pricing strategies, contributing to the design of incentive mechanisms for decarbonised transport services.
